Additional The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 3) Information

When the goddess Artemis goes missing, she is believed to have been kidnapped. And now it's up to Percy and his friends to find out what happened. Who is powerful enough to kidnap a goddess?  They must find Artemis before the winter solstice, when her influence on the Olympian Council could swing an important vote on the war with the titans. Not only that, but first Percy will have to solve the mystery of a rare monster that Artemis was hunting when she disappeared-a monster rumored to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus forever.

What Customers Say About The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 3):

Percy and his dad had a talk and his father praised him (Some what). Considering that Nico is the son of Hades, and Percy really isn't on either of their good sides, I think that will stir up trouble in the next book. Something happened that I've been watiting for the whole series. I think overall it was a good book. Hoped you enjoyed the review. I hope that since Nico de Angelo hates Percy because he didn't help his sister.

he didn't have much to do in this book except get thrown off a 50 foot cliff by Thalia and some other minor stuff.

I recommend this series to anyone who likes Greek Mythology and Fantasy books.

And we meet some more gods, like Athena, Artemis, and Aphrodite.

I won't spoil anything if your wondering.

I also thought that this book was good because he encounters Ares twice.

I think it had enough action to keep the reader engaged through the entire book.

The problem was luke for me.

The only bad part was that Thalia joined the hunters and we wont see mcuh of her anymore.

;-)

I have found that this is a very enjoyable set of books. I absolutely love ancient mythology and it is nice to see it being incorporated for a new generation. Reading these books will have kids wanting to know more.

Finally, a series that captured my son's attention. Although my son is bright and can read just about anything, he could not read any book for more than 10 minutes without getting bored. Now I have to limit his reading time so that he gets his homework done. I could not happier.

But Percy has other problems - his friend Annabeth as well as Artemis is missing and Percy has been having dreams that show they are in danger. Riordan also does a great job of using both real places like the Hoover Dam and mythological places like Mount Olympus. Soon they discover that Bianca and Nico di Angelo may not be all they seem. When Percy Jackson receives a distress call from his friend Grover, he rushes to help, even though he needs a ride from his mother. Since the characters are aging as the series goes on, they are maturing and there is just the tiniest whiff of romance in the book that will no doubt grow in the rest of the series. Once again Percy and his friends have to go on a quest fraught with danger and Riordan creates just the right sense of adventure and danger without it being too scary (although there is death in this book).

The idea of setting the series in a world where mythological gods are real is a great one and Riordan continues to do a good job of comingling the mythological world with the real world by using mythological characters such as Poseidon, Artemis, Aphrodite, Apollo, Hermes, Atlas and more.

A prophecy has declared that five people will go to help them but not all will return.

There is a wonderful sense of humor throughout the book, although it can be a bit juvenile at times (not surprising considering the intended audience).

Grover has discovered two powerful half bloods and Percy and his friends immediately move to protect them.

Like the other books in the series, the book is written in the first person, narrated by Percy and it really does feel as if Percy is there in front of the reader telling his story.

Percy is determined to be the one to help Annabeth but the gods may have other ideas."The Titan's Curse" is the third book in Rick Riordan's excellent children's series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians".

Riordan really hits his stride with this book and the Harry Potter similarities are largely gone as Riordan makes this series his own.

There are some intriguing twists and turns and surprises in the book that make it even more interesting.

Since there are more books to come, "The Titan's Curse" ends with a cliffhanger that will leave readers wanting more."The Titan's Curse" is an imaginative, wonderfully done children's book.

LOVED THESE BOOKS.THIS BOOK SERIES COULD BE THE NEXT HARRY POTTER SERIES.I LOVED IT THAT MUCH.HOPEFULLY THESE WILL BE MADE INTO MOVIES ALSO.CANT WAIT TO READ THE LAST BOOK.I THINK THAT IF THESE BOOKS HAD BEEN MARKETED RIGHT THAT AS MANY KIDS WOULD BE READING THEM JUST LIKE THE HARRY POTTER SERIES///I HAD NO IDEA WHO RICK RIORDAN WAS UNTIL ONE DAY A CHILD THAT I WORKED WITH HAD ME READ THE SYNOPSIS OF THE BOOK.I REALLY THINK U HAVE A HIT HERE.
